My Book Boost Sample
This is a list of leveled library books for beginning readers. This free sample contains five books and comprehension questions from the list of 150 books. Levels 1-4 are approximately Kindergarten level and levels 5-15 are approximately 1st grade level.
The easiest way to get these books is to place them on hold. You can do this online and they will be waiting for you on the hold shelf at the library. If you prefer, you can also go to the library and pull the books yourself. Keep in mind that each library might not have every book, so you may have to go online and put some books on hold.
Once you have the books, you can sit down to read with your child. The books on this list are great for your child to read, with your support, as you sit beside them. After they’ve read the book at least once, they can reread the book over and over with or without you sitting by their side.

Compliments Tally Sheet
Helping to build the self-esteem of kids is so important! Keep this tally sheet on a clipboard to help ensure you’re giving compliments to all of the children in your class regularly. You can see who might need a little extra attention if you haven’t complimented them recently.
I would suggest writing the children’s names on the left hand side of the sheet. Then, make copies of the sheet so you can have more copies available when you fill up the current sheet. I hope it’s useful to you!
